Product Description
This is a c.1:35 scale model of a Tudor wrought iron breech-loading cannon, specially port side cannon No. 81a2604 recovered from the wreck of Henry VIII’s Mary Rose and now currently on display in Portsmouth.
Archaeological drawings were used to create this accurate replica, complete with separate lifting links, breech chamber, securing block, elevation timber and rotating wheels. While FED plastic provides a smoother surface, the slight grain of FED plastic actually mimics the wood and wrought iron of the original, giving a more accurate-looking finish.
Necessary to Complete:
Brown string (for the securing ropes)
Fine wire (for wheel lynch pins and elevation timber)
I hope you enjoy this unusual and eye-catching model.
