Product Description
I created this because I was constantly moving the VFO knob when pushing the F button, and the kranker knob essentially required using my entire hand to spin the knob rapidly. This knob solves the moving the VFO knob problem when pressing the F button, via the reduced cross section in the center of the knob. Plenty of room in there for my finger now, I can even fit my thumb in and press the button without moving the VFO knob. It also gives 2 options for spinning the knob, the hole allows fine fingertip control at a reduced speed. The point allows very rapid spinning with just a fingertip. I prefer to use my thumb but any finger will do. I've found that using the point to get close, then using the hole for tuning the last digit is much nicer than the kranker knob was. The shaft hole may need to be cleaned out with a drill bit, it should slide on the VFO shaft with NO force. Again, use NO force sliding the knob onto the VFO shaft. The set screw hole should be fine as is. Simply use the existing set screw to thread the hole.
