Product Description
Cowboy hat assortment for 28mm wargaming. Three sizes 10 of each:
-Small head inner dimensions 5.1x3.85mm
-Medium head inner dimensions 5.4x4mm
-Large head inner dimensions 5.6x4.35mm
As the sizes of figures and heads vary greatly in 28mm wargaming please check you figures head size to the dimensions before ordering.
There are two materials to chose form:
-White Natural Versatile Plastic which is somewhat grainy.
-Smooth Fine Detail Plastic which is more expensive and has better resolution but needs cleaning (see below)
Prior to painting the hats they should be thoroughly cleaned in denatured alcohol and dishwashing liquid to get rid of the process wax. Use enamel or acrylic paint. Due to Shapeways material wall thickness restrictions the brim is a bit thicker then it should be. Use a small file to slightly file away some of the material making the brim thinner prior to mounting it to a figure of your choosing. To mount the hats just cut away the top of the head on the figure until you are satisfied with the fit. Then glue it on with ACC.
