Product Description
I love this bead .... its awesome. I had mine made in silver but think i might print one off in bronze as well.
Small grenade shaped bead holds nine 12mm x 2mm tritium vials (not supplied). It has a 5mm hole for threading on to lanyards - this works with 6mm paracord (single thickness or doubled up but with the core removed) and with double thickness 3mm leather braid.
I personally like to 'antique' the metal before fitting the vials. Best weay to fit the vials is to turn the grenade upside down and just slot them into place..... they slide in really well. Once installed, secure them with a small amount of super glue. I use a coctail stick to pick up a small amount of super glue from a couple of drops that I have decanted onto a peice of tin foil or bottle top and dab the coctail stick on the bottom of each tritium vial. This gives you really good control of the glue since a drop from the nozzle of a super glue bottle is way too much. leave the glue to set for ten minutes and then turn the grenade the right way up. With a fresh coctail stick, prod the top of each vial to test that they are all secure.
The pin on the grenade is hollow and looks really cool if you can find a tiny split ring or a simple hoop made from rither silver or another contrasting metal.
