B12_1535 The Ping Pong Paddle belongs to a collection of objects born out of a series of focused design investigations into cross pollinating complex architectural surfaces with popular recreational objects for the sole purpose of creating a set of beautiful objects. This project aims to create a series of objects that are easily recognizable in form, yet with fine, intricately detailed shaped surfaces, in the hope of elevating the mundane object from the realm of “pervasiveness” to a place of “preciousness.”
