I was inspired by the symbolism of this painting. One interpretation is that the group of infants, playing with a ball and hoop, represents humankind playing a game that may be impossible to win. I was fascinated by this idea of geometric objects representing the “game” that all humans play, so I built my design around those shapes.
These earrings have two interlocking parts – the large decorated hoop moves freely within the other hoop.
Approximate dimensions: 32mm wide x 40mm high x 12mm thick (rotating hoop is about 6mm thick)
