These beautiful Westcoast designed Raven Earrings are inspired by the First Nations artwork of British Columbia's indigenous people. This unique design, began as original hand drawn art and was then recreated using 3d software, and finally printed in full color sanstone to recreate the traditional colors of the First Nations peoples' artwork. Indigenous stories tell of the Raven, the trickster, releasing mankind from darkness by opening the shell that enclosed the humans. This design represents the raven with the sherical shell in its beak, ready to release mankind into the world. *Also available in red/black/white, white/black/red. Earring hooks not included.
About the designer: Jim lives on Vancouver Island off the West Coast of Vancouver Island. He is virtually surrounded by amazing First Nations artisans and artwork throughout the region which gives him both facination and inspiration to create his 'westcoast inspired' artwork. The designer is also a quadriplegic with little or no use of his hands and fingers. He uses the computer as his medium to create the designs he imagines in his mind. Most of all, he hopes you enjoy his creations, and also might consider purchasing traditional and authentic First Nations' artwork from the region.
