Product Description
This concept design was passed to me by a customer on request. The credit to the idea goes to Rodrigo Avella, whose design and graphics are found on Behance (https://www.behance.net/gallery/58493045/A14-A-Wild-Wolf). The concept looks beautiful, and is inspired by the Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II as a next-generation replacement. Several things stand out as a "sixth generation fighter". Although we can only see the exterior model, the flush laminar design suggests most sensors are either internal or offboard, communication with the aircraft through datalinks and networks. Considerable effort to reduce RCS also makes it's appearance throughout the airframe. This updated variant features an entirely re-designed wing profile, larger engines, an overall expanded airframe and the removal of the main cannon.
This is the second instance where I created a model from a concept design found on the web. Being a concept, it is not truely to any particular scale, however I have sized it to similar dimensions to it's inspiration - the A-10 Thunderbolt II. Thus if you have a scale model Warthog, this design held next to it will be a similar size. The model is considerably larger than the original A variant, with the wingspan being the only dimension equal to the first design. Enjoy!
