Product Description
This product is a direct replacement for the plastic switch found on the Bose QC-35 or QC-35 II (second generation with Alexa) headphones.  Our QC-35 power switch stopped working after a while.  Specifically, it was no longer able to slide over to begin pairing or to select a new device. The cause was a crack in the plastic switch.  The crack was only visible after the headphones were disassembled.  This product is a replacement for the cracked switch. This new switch restored the function of our QC-35 headphones.  The new switch slides easily and feels more secure than the original did when new.  This is a simple, low risk repair, and quite worth the effort even if you've never repaired electronics before.  Pick a fun color, or select the 'natural' color and paint it however you'd like. Installation instructions are as follows.  See above images for reference.

Pull to remove the ear pad and the fabric inside the ear cup.  The base of the ear pad is clipped in, and the fabric inside is secured with two strips of double-sided tape.
Remove three small screws under the fabric.  The screw locations are shown in red above.
The aluminum cover is now loose.  Remove it to reveal the circuitry.
Remove the broken plastic power switch from the slide switch by pulling straight up away from the circuit board.
Place your new plastic switch onto the stem of the slider switch.
Follow directions in reverse to reassemble.
Good luck with your repair!  You can do this! Note:  This if a full replacement for the plastic switch.  If you happen to be fixing the first-generation QC-35 headphones and your switch only has a minor crack, check out the Bose QC-35 switch bracket part.  It reinforces and existing cracked switch while maintaining the original exterior look of the headphones.
