Product Description
This product is based off of a brake van which appeared briefly in the Railway Series story "Edward and Gordon" from the book "Three Railway Engines". Specifically, the design of this wagon comes from the short-lived illustrations of William Middleton. This version has an added cupola, which makes it look more akin to American style Cabooses. This makes the model a perfect hybrid wagon for British and American layouts. This model features a removable roof, planked flooring, and carefully crafted grab iron detailing. The Bachmann version features the International Hook & Loop coupling system, with hooks included. The Chain version does not feature the international Hook & Loop coupling system, instead being intended for the more realistic 3-chain and hook coupling system. In order for the bogies to attach to the chassis of this model, you will need to buy a size #4 screw with the associated Hex nut. The hex nut will fit in the hex shaped hole on the underside of the chassis and will require glue to stay in place. The screw will then go through the hole in the bogie and screw into the hex nut attached to the chassis. Beyond the screws and nuts, you will also need to provide two sets of two HO scale 33" wheels for each bogie in order for the model to run.
