Yokomo YZ10 870C Front Bulkhead no Hood Pin

I was digging through my attic and found my old Yokomo YZ-10 (orginal run circa 1988) that I bought and built when I was a kid.  I got the itch to restore it and started looking to see what could be upgraded.

The body was very beat up and my painting skills back then was pretty awful.  So I set out to replace it with one of the new reproductions avilable online now.  As part of that, I really wanted to avoid drilling holes for the hood pins on the front and rear bulkheads since i NEVER use them anyway - I use the velcro to hold the body to the lower chassie tray.

So, dusting off my CAD skills, I was able to recreate the part with a digital caliper.  I  skipped adding the hood pin tower and dressed it up a bit with a more modern logo.  I sent this to my local library with the other bulkhead and battery posts I offer to test  before sending in online for the final product.  Everything fit perfectly.

The test print was using a simple Markerbot PLA and it was actually very sturdy.  But wanted something stronger so I went with Nylon SLS online.  NOTE that the SLS prints are very acurate but still may require some additonal cleanup of the screw holes that are only a few millimeters in diameter and pushing up againts the limits of the printers accuracy.  You may need to ream them out a little bit with a drill bit as I did.  Just be very slow so as to not take off too much.
