Classic Stern - Gen 1 Pop Bumper Brkt Conversion

This is a moified Data East / Stern - Jet / Pop Bumper bracket that will allow you to replace and upgrade the first Classic Stern Gen 1 Pop Bumper from a metal bracket to a bracket similar to Gen 2 brackets but modified and designed to marry up with the nylon rod and rings set up.

The issue is the ring for Gen 1 pop  / jet bumper is no longer available and installing the custom  Gen 1 setup will allow you to drop the whole assembly from the playfield as one full assembly. It is approximately 2mm smaller in diameter so can fit in to the large holes of the playfield where the Gen 2 available pop brackets have to be hacked to make it fit. The shaft holes have also been opened up for the nylon Rings & Rods.

Games with the smaller playfield hole (63mm) as opposed to games beyond starting at Cheetah onwards had a 65mm hole which allowed the well known Stern Jet Bumper Bracket to be used.
