A06c N Nn3 close coupling working L&P coupler x48

48 N scale drawheads for link and pin couplers. Same as the A06 finescale working coupler but with a 1mm shorter shank for closer coupling. Looks good on MT cars but a bit awkward to use on Athearn/MDC, for that use the regular A06. This style was made of wrought iron bars and rivetted together. Common before cheaper, high quality cast iron came along in the 1860s and used long afterward. Body mount using #00 screw in same location as a MicroTrains or similar coupler. A shim may be required for some models. These can accommodate links up to 1mm wide (13 links/inch chain) and will operate like the real thing if one has good eyes and tweezers. Has a 0.3mm/.010" diameter hole for the pin. Some helpful advice from a customer: "Tested and will pull a minimum of a 10 car Nn3 train, and possibly 20+. They should pull 15+ standard N cars as well. They bolt right onto the stock hole for Microtrains cars. You must shorten the mounting screw for flat cars, and gondolas. Use .010 brass wire from K&S Special Shapes for the pins. Flatten the wire at one end so that it does not fall through. Great design for detail fanatics."
Because of their small size and fine detail, Frosted Ultra Detail is the preferred material. Clean with soapy water or alcohol before painting with acrylics.
