Subject 4a | Calvarium

This is a real-life model of a real head. Over 1000 hours of CAD work has gone into production, and this was produced using ultra fine CT technology. This model, useful for surgeons, doctors, dentists, orthodontists, and medical students, is designed to assemble like the ultimate 3D jigsaw. The model depicts osteotomy cuts useful in orthognathic surgery, and is designed as an education tool. It includes a LeFort I osteotomy and Mommaerts expander in the palate. All nasal and sinus passages have been intimately recreated, suitable for endoscopy. Printed in UltraFine frosted acrylic, it enables a see through view of teeth, sinuses, airways, and internal structures to bone. You can separately print the pieces, and assemble them to form a life-size model of a real head, including teeth, bones, face, tongue and airway. "Calvarium" is the largest part, and includes the skeleton of the upper face, nasal air passages, teeth, orbits, and skull base.
