Product Description
This is like my kit of parts for a British Railways A-type container in 2mm:1ft, useable for N-gauge, but contains some of the parts for 2 A-type containers and 2 BD-type. However, these sprues do NOT make complete containers. You will notice that there are NO SIDES for either type of container! I have uploaded this model because I need more roofs, floors and doors, because a multipack N-gauge Society kit (ex Parkwood) that I bought had one too many sprues of sides and one too few sprues of roofs and floors. This means I need one more set of roofs, floor and doors for each type of container fot the ones I'm missing, plus another set so that I can use the extra sides that I got. I only needed one more corrugated back end to avoid using the wooden back option that is spare in the kit, but while I was at it, I thought I fancied some slightly different doors and backs anyway so I made some variations - fronts with plywood upper doors, fronts with plywood lower doors, and an all plywood back. This is an experimental product and won't go on sale unless the kit parts work when I try them, and I'll probably shuffle the components around a bit, and add sides to make it a bit more widely useful for everyone, too. They're meant to be compatible with the Parkwood / N-gauge Society kit of course.
UPDATE 2021-12-31 Made the B-type container spares a tiny bit shorter (sides/roof/floor) and made the ends interlock with the floors to make it easier to align things when assembling (file gently where necessary if the clearance is too tight). Improved the spruing.
Offered for sale but please note these kist have no container sides so they're no use on their own unless you mean to make sides yourself, or have some spares, or just want to swap the door or back ends from this set with other kits e.g. Parkwood / N-gauge Society. Those parts are thinner and will need shimmng off the edges of the floors from these kits to make a good fit.
