With the Project 11990, there really were three versions of the ship: a ASW version, a AAW version and this one.
Abandoning nuclear propulsion, this version of the project 11990 freed tonnage to accomodate both ASW and ASh Missiles, making the ship more of a universal combatant than specialized warships as with most vessels of the Soviet Navy.
Again, the project 11990 never came to reality due to dissolution of the USSR.
