Product Description
The Z type carriages were air-conditioned, steel body passenger carriages used on the railways of Victoria, Australia and were constructed by the Victorian Railways from 1957. This class of carriages consisted of thirteen AZ first class carriages with closely spaced, smaller windows and thirteen BZ second class carriages with wider spaced, larger windows. A number of carriages were placed onto standard gauge bogies for use on interstate trains such as the iconic Spirit of Progress.
This model is a beta release of the AZ carriage body only. No undercarriage is yet provided, but can be readily constructed using styrene sheets.
