Chess board on storage box various scales

This chess board is based on a tournament sized board having individual squares of 2.25 inches on a side in the real world.  The chess board is embedded in the lid of a storage box for the game pieces as might typically be used for game play. Unfortunately the box does not open but a seam line has been placed around the side of the box to indicate where it would open.  The added thickness of the box allows this item to be offered in 1:12, 1:24, and 1:48 scales.  The 1:12 scale model has been partially hollowed out on the bottom to reduce cost by almost six dollars.
