Product Description
This is a model of a miniature lunar habitat. Its design is based upon the inflatable lunar shelters currently being developed for use on the Moon. Habitats like these would be compact inside of a rocket, then expanded upon arrival, just like a camping tent. In real life use, they would be buried underneath several feet of lunar dust - providing necessary shielding from the harsh radiation. The life size version of this habitat would be 9 meters across and 4.5 meters tall, and would house several astronauts.
