Notes on the new Mark 2 design
The front arm construction of this new Mk2 version of the Universal Pipchassis has an all new design with 2 new key features:
1) The end of the arm with the guide holder now travels along a horizontal blade. This eliminates the risk of twisting the arm and guide when the chassis is experiencing lateral forces. This radically improves the driving characteristics and controllability of the chassis.
2) A newly added sliding clip clicks on the arm, and can be moved towards the front and back of the arm, to increase or decrease the stiffness of the arm. Two pins of this clip stick through the bottom of the chassis, so you can adjust it on the fly, without having to remove the body.

The Universal Pipchassis SL is compatible with most car bodies with a wheelbase between 72mm and 94mm. After you have settled on the right size, you can secure the front and rear parts together with screws or glue.
The chassis comes with two body posts that can easily be measured and cut or sanded to the correct height, before glueing them in place inside the body. Depending on the make and model of the body, you may be required to remove some material from the inside of the body, like the original body posts, to achieve a perfect fit.
This SL chassis is designed to be fitted with Slot.it parts. It can hold Slot.it motorpods in anglewinder, sidewinder, inline and inline boxer configurations. For the front axle, you have the option to install Slot.it spherical bushings (product code CH56 or CH56b) and adjust the axle height with Slot.it hexagonal M2 screws (product code PA37).
