In the year 1913, at his Paris studio Marcel Duchamp mounted a bicycle wheel upside down onto a stool. "I enjoyed looking at it," he said. Later he denied this creation was purposeful, but 'BICYCLE WHEEL' became known as the first readymade. In 2013 opqrstu3D remastered 'BICYCLE WHEEL' in 3D to honour Marcel Duchamp. The wheel is a moving part and so it actually turns. This could only be produced using one of the unique advantages of 3D printing: creating whole assemblies in one print, with all moving parts printed fully assembled. 3D printing all 2 moving parts of Bicycle Wheel in place, removes the need for assembly, either by the manufacturer or the buyer.
