This model allows you to put three Carling/Contura Style rocker switches (not included) in the center console where the factory ash tray normally sits. It completely replaces the ash tray, so removal of the center console is required.
It does not snap in to the console like the ash tray does, so there is no need to remove the console to change switches later. It is designed to stay in place using friction, but if you choose you may screw it in to your console using the same method as other ash tray switch plates.
The top of the pod is flat to address printing issues with "stairstepping" seen on the pods with contoured tops. It does make the top thicker. The switches here are also not angled for the same reason.
