Product Description
This set contains all the impossible to find parts needed to build a IC passenger service GP.
Note that these are designed to fit the Walthers/Proto model.
Please refer to photos of specifec units as they all seemed to vary a bit.
The stack extension is pretty stright forward, it drops right into the existing stack.
The T vent location varies on a lot of the units but many are in the dead center of the roof. Leave a small bit of the sprue when removing it from the runner. Drill a .0625" (1/16") diameter hole in the cab roof to mount it.
For the clean out plugs, use the supplied drill template. The template is symmetrical, so there is no top or bottom. It self locates side to side, then just line it up with the top of the tank. Drill size is also .0625" (1/16") Note that some units had five plugs per side and some had six, again check photos whenever possible.
For the "eyebrows" nip them off as close to the sprue as possible then file them flat. There is one extra included as they are really small and fragile. They are designed to be glued flat to the surface of the class light box. These will accept an MV Products LS-22 lens or the dimple can be drilled out for lighing from behind.
