The ship is part of the background fleet in Star Trek Discovery second season's finale.
The Hou Yi class resembled a Miranda class vessel in layout, only with four nacelles, with the same primary hull common to the other large Section 31 warships, but a very small secondary hull and a torpedo pod on a roll bar on top. The Hou Yi class closely resembles the Shiva class, another Section 31 vessel with two instead of four warp nacelles.
