The Glengarry bonnet is a traditional Scots cap. It was worn as part of the uniform of various Scottish regiments since the 1790s, and was often worn by Scottish Highlanders. It remains part dress uniform of many Scottish and Commwealth regiments, and is also part of the dress of many Pipe Bands.
The exact placement of the Glengarry on the head differs based on time-period and usage. On this model, the hat is worn straight on top of the head, which is how it has usually been worn since the end of WW2.
(
we also offer a version of this head wearing the Glengarry at an angle).
