TH&B As-class 1-48 Driver Set For Proto48 Tyres

This set of eight O-scale drivers is patterned after a Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo As-class Berkshire, which was based on the C&NW Berkshire.  They are designed to fit Proto48 63-inch tyres and a 5-millimetre axle.  Hole for crankpin screw is 1.5mm diameter, for an M2 thread.  They have already been printed successfully as individual parts, now sprued together here to save on per-part manufacturing fees.  The fit of tyres and axles is intentionally only a 'light press-fit' to avoid distortion, and the purchaser needs to use a glue such as a slow-setting cyanoacrylate or Loktite to prevent anything from shifting.  Setting up of tyres is easy as the back of the wheel centre  sits flush with the back of the tyre so just put the centre face-up on a flat surface and push the tyre down onto the centre.  The purchaser might have to put a washer behind each wheel since there is no boss to space the wheel away from the loco frame.

Thickness of hub is 4.2mm so axle length needs to be 8.4mm + back-to-back dimension.

The 5mm axle and M2 crankpin are simply because that's what I can get here in New Zealand; if you need different sizes, please ask because it is easy to adjust the design, and the variation can be added to my shop for the benefit of all.  I might also be able to tweak the rim to fit a 'standard gauge' tyre.
