This expandable structure is only available in Frosted Detail and Frosted Ultra Detail plastics due to limiting 3D printing processes for other materials. I suggest Shapeways purchases SLS metal printers to be able to produce Interlocking mechanisms like this one in a One-Step simple process. Use it as a bracelet, a holder, relaxing sessions, royalty play, you name it... Have fun! Other models to come NOTE: a version of this model has gone through iteration and this model has been updated with optimal tolerances for best results. Cheers!
