The Westland Wasp was a British shipboard anti-submarine helicopter. It saw service with the Royal Navy and during the Falklands War it contributed to the disabling of the Argentinian submarine, Santa Fe.
It also saw service with the Brazillian Navy, Indonesian Navy, Royal Malaysian Navy, Royal Netherlands Navy, Royal New Zealand Navy and the South-African Navy (operated by the South-African Air Force).
This detail set can be used to replace the landing gear and tail rotor for a commerical 1/48 scale Westland
wasp model kit.

The Westland Wasp could carry two AS12 anti-ship missiles. The AS.12 air-to-surface missiles are available in 1/48 scale and can be ordered seperately.
The Westland Wasp could also be equiped with
flotation gear, which is available in 1/48 scale and can be ordered seperately.
Parts are printed on sprues to reduce printing costs and may require additional sanding and processing before used.
