The Enzmann Lance Starship: Conceived by the late Dr Robert Enzmann, could be built today with no new breakthroughs in technolog. Being Half a mile long it would be able to cary up to 10,000 people and could be built for about the same cost as 3 Trident Sumbarines. Having 9 nuclear powered Particle accelerators running the length of the ship and producing enough thrust to get where you need to go. Since you can leave the engines ON for a very long time and experience the G force of normal life along the way.
There is no doubt the earth will have a firey end. Some say it will be soon, Others say it wont happen for another 4.5 billion years. Sometimes I think I'd like to leave this rock just because the people here are messing themselves up in so many ideological ways. How ever the end will happen, the best thing for the human race would be to have an escape plan and several alternative destinations incase some of them just don't pan out. The Enzmann Starships are the option.
