3D Fabric Test Sample 2

This sample is an experiment in 3D Fabric construction and design. It is constructed as a bikini triangle so as to provide a useful test with a small but reasonable size of material.

This sample is based on Japanese 6-in-1 chain mail.

This sample is unidirectional flexing throughout the piece. Coverage is roughly 50% due to material being removed to reduce material for test printing. Greater coverage is possible with finished designs. A suggested way to increase coverage would be to add circular plates to the front of each large link, giving a scale-like effect.
