Douglas XB-43 & XB-42 Pair 1/285

The only models of the Douglas XB-43 and XB-42 Mixmaster Jetmaster in 6 mm scale. The XB-43 was an adaptation of the piston-powered XB-42 (also available from New Aragon Model Works) to jet propulsion. One production version would have had 16 50-caliber machine guns in the nose. Only two prototypes were built, because the forthcoming B-45 Tornado had more potential.

The XB-42 was one of the most advanced propeller-driven aircraft ever conceived. It was very fast, had good range, and could have carried a heavy bomb load

These might make interesting additions to a Luftwaffe '46 scenario.
