ACF Hopper Trough Hatches - Front Range

These full-length trough hatches replace the three individual hatches that come with the Front Range ACF 3-bay 4650 cu ft hopper kit.  The Accurail hoppers are 4600 cu ft and are 3 feet longer, so their trough hatch parts are too long for the Front Range car.

To use, clean around the edges of the locating mounts on both the body and hatches. Test fit by gently pressing the hatch down on the locating mounts.  Some of the mounts may have an extra raised portion (likely from the mold release pins) that may need to be filed down a bit for a proper fit. The inner mounts may need to have a bit of material removed from the edge facing towards the center of the car.

Once satisfied, remove and re-secure with a few drops of CA or Canopy Glue.
