An adapter for mounting the walkera G-3D gimbal on the cheerson cx-20 quadcopter. The adapter sits on the cx-20's fuselage and we use the M2.5 screws cheerson provides to fix it. It needs a brass m3 threaded insert that will receive the M3x12 thumb screw that fixes the gimbal. The insert's should be less than 8mm in length and it should require a diameter of 4mm for hot insertion. Having said that, the gimbal slides in, as is does with the original fixing block walkera provides. Small update : first prints with a FFF printer seem promising. Adjustments to the model were made. The adapter in the pics is an early test version... Update : Model is ready for use. However FFF printing results may vary depending on printer, printing direction etc. Usually tolerances are a little off and filling may be needed. I assume the printing process of shapeways observers the dimensions of the model better than FFF.
