Product Description
This is my interpretation of a GMC 'Crackerbox' Day Cab. The actual model name was a DLR/DFR 8000 which ran in production from 1959 to 1962, and another version ran until 1969, but when 'Crackerbox' was referred to it was this early version. The truck was created to be only 48" wide to give more room for freight, as well as lots of power and upgraded suspension. However, it's appearance wasn't that well received. I have included a windshield and rear windows, because rumor has it that you can hit these with gloss acrylic, and they become fairly clear in the fine detail material, which is what I offer this piece in. OR you can use clear acetate and glue in if that's your preference. Questions? modelmechanic@gmail.com
