Bird Skull - Macro

This realistic sculpture was modelled directly from anatomical observation, based on the skull of the humble pigeon. Almost every part of this model is hollow, echoing the astounding low-density structure and delicacy of real bird bones. As a result, when printed in White Versatile Plastic it is beautifully translucent - it looks great on a lightbox or backlit.
