Product Description
The first Lancia developed under Fiat ownership, the Beta also spearheaded Lancia's return to the US market in the mid-1970s. A full line of Beta models, including the unique HPE shooting brake, the Zagato Spyder convertible, and the wild mid-engine Scorpion (née Montecarlo), was anchored by the four-door Berlina. Despite its Euro-chic fastback looks, Lancia's buyers gravitated to more sporting models and the Berlina was one of the slower sellers in the line. After a one-year run of two-liter Berlinas in 1979 (with sales in the low three-digits), the four-door disappeared from American shores, followed by the rest of the Lancia line by 1982.
This 1:64-scale kit, representing the Federalized Series 2 Beta Berlina available from 1977-79, comes with body, base, interior, dashboard with steering wheel, bumpers, wheels, and tires. Axles (0.8 mm rods) and screws (#2-56) not included, but recommended. Glue recommended for smaller pieces.
