Product Description
This is a 3d print of the original classic Nelson Log Bronc, which is a very small and agile tugboat used in log ponds to gather and guide the logs into the chute for cutting in the sawmill. Occasionally you'd see them on rivers helping to build a log raft for larger tugs to take down river. The Nelson Log Bronc Company was founded in 1956 by Fred Nelson, which changed it's name in 1979 to Mid-Coast Marine, located in Coos Bay Oregon. They company built a lot of ships and barges until its closure in 1997. This log bronc is the original design, which is the basic concept of a small floating platform with a hole in the middle, in which the engine, with the gas tank on top, sat in a turntable. Steering was simply turning the engine, making it highly maneuverable in tight quarters. I've made this as a 'waterline' piece, so it can be set into scenery. Dimensionally, it' s13 feet long, by 7 feet wide. Should there be any questions or concerns, contact me via the designer link or direct via email to modelmechanic@gmail.com
