Do you have a basic SIG Sauer P229 model and really want the beavertail of the Elite or Legion models?
Now you can - but even BETTER!
This functional beavertail add-on provides useful contact with the back of the hand between the thumb and fingers, giving better stability and recoil control.
NO PERMANENT MODIFICATIONS. The add-on beavertail replaces the plastic hammer block, that small square of plastic, visible from the rear of the pistol directly below the hammer. The hammer block is held in place by a pin pressed in from the side (covered by the grip panels). The add-on beavertail has a replacement hammer block built in that replaces the original block. Swap the small spring inside the block from the original to the new part and press in the original pin. Reversal without any indication of installation possible at any time.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION: Remove the hammer block and replace with the add-on beavertail using the standard SIG procedure. While this is possible to do for the amateur SIG hobbyist with a small punch set, this is still a procedure that is important to do correctly. GUNSMITH INSTALLATION RECOMMENDED if you are not familiar with these parts.
