1/300 ET&WNC Wood Hopper

This is a complete 1/300 body shell for use on T gauge track.

This is a body shell only, and doesnot include trucks/bogies, couplers or track as in the images. It is delivered in clear plastic and requires painting.

It represents a 3 foot gauge East Tennesee & Western North Carolina (Tweetsie) wood hopper car.

The model is designed to use bogies (P-029) plus couplers from Tgauge.com. Alternatively, if wanting 3 or more pairs, then it is cheaper to get the adjustable chassis pack and remove the bogies and couplers.

For paint, any acrylic will work well. I used Vallejo on the photographed model. Ordinarily I would have left the interior as unpainted wood, however none of the prototype photos I found showed the interior, and all the models I saw had it painted, so I did likewise.

Before painting it is important to clean the prints. Scrubbing in  warm water and the rinsing thoroughly will acheive this, however I prefer to leave the parts soaking in white spirits for several hours instead. This had the added benefit of turning the print white, which makes it easier to see what you are painting.
