40mm ammolocker 20th v8

A 20th scale Ammunition Locker for 40mm (Bofors Canon) shells, the shells were mounted on clips of 4 and this cupboard style locker holds 16 clips or 64 shells, This is an open empty locker that can be filled with separate clipped 20th scale shells, this allow you to paint the shells and clips and then locate in the locker. The original locker had a waterproofed cloth cover that you can add yourself with a piece of silk or similar. it also had a thin plywood top cover (only) attached to the cloth, the cloth hung down the rear and was clipped to the sides, if the cloth is unclipped and thrown over the front (highest part)  of the locker the shells are exposed and ready for gun loading crew. This locker has a curved base and was mounted on the engine hatch deck aft of the engine access hatch.
