Product Description
The planetary glyph of Venus is the same symbol that is used for the female gender. It represents the feminine polarity of duality — of Consciousness bifurcated — and given the classical and historical associations with Venus as femininity, this is easily relatable. Furthermore, the glyph is a balanced symbol symmetrically; we tend to perceive archetypes of femininity as more receptive and harmonious than their male counterparts and this is reflected in the symmetry of the symbol. The receptive nature of the feminine aspect is also embodied in the circle of the glyph that is the Womb: itself a symbol of fertility and fecundation. Descending from the womb, like a child out of the birth canal, comes the cross of matter. Remember the Hermetic Axiom: "As Above, So Below". This is a glimpse into a subset of the recursive stacking of Self, as is represented in models of causal emanation like the Kabbalah, at the level of the Astral Plane (a stable stage of stratification of self as mapped in the Four Worlds model). Together with the Form archetypes of Mercury, at this level, the Fulcrum of Lunar Self — of Lunar Personality — is emanated.
