HO/OO NEW Maunsell Generic Chassis Bachmann S3

This model is based off of the real life Maunsell Corridor Composite Coaches and their modified appearance in season 3 of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends.  The differences between seasons included the length of the coaches, the added details on the coaches, and what kind of bogies were used.  I have striven to recreate these coaches as faithfully as possible, and the price reflects both the quality of the product and the amount of plastic required to produce it.  In order for the bogies to attach to the chassis, you will need to buy a size #4 screw with the associated Hex nut.  The hex nut will fit in the hex shaped hole on the underside of the chassis, and will require glue to stay in place.  The screw will then go through the hole in the bogie and screw into the hex nut attached to the chassis.  The Bachmann version of the chassis features bogies with the international Hook and Loop couplers with hooks included.  The Chain version on the other hand does not feature the international Hook and Loop coupling, instead being intended for the more realistic Hook and 3-chain coupling system.  Beyond the screws and nuts, you will also need to provide a set of two Hornby 14.1mm or HO scale 38" wheels for each bogie in order for the model to run.  There is a Generic chassis that is compatible with every variant of each coach of each season.  This version does not feature seats or other internal detailing to reduce the cost of the chassis.
