Product Description
This is a replacement US-1 Wrecker shell & related parts. All of the parts here are interchangable with the production wrecker, so feel free to mix and match.
This shell requires a special weight to work. You can use one of the following or make your own:

You can also fab a weight yourself-- it's 19mm square, 2.5mm high, with a 4mm diameter hole in the center.
The inner bracket can be found here:

And the tow hook here:

You'll also need a light bar, such as the ones here:

And of course, you'll need the chrome bits-- front grill, lights, and both exhaust stacks. You can use the ones off of a donor truck or order these in brass:

If you want to get the flashing light working, you'll also need the following:
- a compatible "grain of rice' style light bulb. Bulb is 3-4mm diameter, and a voltage rating for 6-12 volts (6 volts will be brighter but burn out faster, 12v will be dimmer and last longer, 9v is ideal, but hard to find)
- two short lengths of approx. 22 awg wire
- a 1.5mm diameter shaft that's 25mm long (servo control rods can be a great source for this shaft)
- you'll also need soldering equipment as the wires & light must be soldered.
When picking a material, the versatile plastic can sometime show layer lines on some surfaces, that looks like a ribbing effect. The PA12 seems to have a slightly lower resolution, but more even surface finish and hasn't exhibited that effect in my prints. But, the versatile plastic has the convenience that you can order it dyed in a variety of colors.
