Product Description
A wireframe model of Goldberg Polyhedron[3,2], using  George Hart's notation.  This is a class III Goldberg polyhedron,  which is one that has a different mirror image.  It has 192 faces,380 vertices, and 570 edges. Icosahedral Goldberg polyhedra always have 12 regular pentagonal faces, and the remaining faces are (typically irregular) hexagons.  They are the duals of the icosahedral geodesic polyhedra.

The notation [3,2]. indicates that you can start at any pentagonal face, go straight for3 hexagons, then make a left turn  and go 2 faces, and be on another pentagon.   (A soccer ball is a Goldberg Polyhedron[1,1], with 32 faces.)

Unfortunately, Shapeways says that I must double the strut width to print this in steel, so plastic, brass, and bronse remain the most economic options for this size. I have made a larger version available for printing in steel.
