Karlatornet

About Karlatornet:

The name translates - roughly - to Big Dipper Tower. Construction began in Göteborg, Sweden in 2018, and is scheduled for completion in 2023. At the time of writing this, construction is still ongoing, but that may have changed by the time You are reading this. At 245 metres and 73 floors, once completed Karlatornet will be the tallest building in Scandinavia. Its most distinguishing features are arguably its four twisting wall sections about two thirds of the way to the top, and its four-pronged crown. The skyscraper is designed by the American architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, that also designed the One World Trade Center. The main contractor responsible for construction is Serneke Group AB. Karlatornet is part of a larger collection of high-rises, and will be accompanied by shorter neighboring buildings named Cassiopeja, Auriga and Virgo.
