Product Description
In 2mmFS and also suitable for N-gauge. A set of 4 models of British Railways 16t coal wagons with welded bodywork and a mixture of pressed steel and replacement (welded) side and end doors in every combination (except mismatched side doors) just like my diagram 1/103 rivetted 16t set. I suggest using my 3D printed chassis, or nice etched metal ones if you have the skill and patience. Take care not to break the bottoms of the stanchions and side doors, and for this you may need to remove a bit of the chassis solebar flanges, and out of the headstock at the non-opening end of the wagon. You can fit them to Peco 9'wb steel solebar kit chassis, ideally shortened by 0.5 mm each end to 16'6" OHS, but this is very fiddly and is the main reason I designed the 3D printed chassis.
The wagons are braced across the insides to keep them straight and square when printing and cleaning, and they add a little strength for your benefit while handling. When you're ready, they can be cut out easily enough with a few careful strokes of a sharp scalpel in every corner.
For sale now I have ordered some myself and confirmed they're OK. Two of these four are also available for sale in a set with a Hurst-Nelson rivetted private-owner 16t.
