Spumellaria is a type of Radiolaria, a zooplankton with a wonderfully ornate opaline skeleton. One of the many amazing unicellular organisms cataloged by the intrepid scientific team of the HMS Challenger deep sea expedition in 1866, the magic of 3D-printing has transformed this microscopic creature into a desk sculpture.
