Product Description
From it's inception in 1902 the Wellington Cable Car has faithfully served locals and tourists alike. Running from Lambton Quay in Wellington's CBD to the top of the Botanic Gardens in the suburb of Kelburn, the original cable car was removed in 1978 to be replaced with the current system.
Model created from measurements taken from the original Cable Car.
The model is HO (1:87) scale, but runs on 12mm (HOm or TT scale) track - the actual Cable Car is a 3'6" gauge railway.
The wheels rotate, but may initially need some encouragement.
For free rolling motion the experienced model maker may wish to replace the wheels with metal HOm wheels, however the experienced model maker already knows this.
