Product Description
This particular model has been specifically designed to suit going inside a Doctor Who pinball machine. The original vehicle was 14 feet long x 7 feet wide (approx 4270 x 2130mm wide). The model is approximately a 1:40 in scale. The model was designed from photos online so not exact but a decent representation of the original personally owned "Whomobile" - the "Alien". This one is with a cockpit with windows cut out with mounting access via the top.

For the pinball mod you will need the base mount which is screwed to the ramps using the existing mounting holes and hardware. Prior to doing this you will need to thread the hole in the cylindral section with either 4mm or an equivalent imperial sized thread.

Depending which material type whomobile you purchased you will need to paint to your liking to represent the original vehicle. The white is cheaper but would mean more painting and the polished metal would mean painting black and orange / red accents only with maybe a clear coat over the whole model. Unfortunately Shapeways trial multicoloured plastic does not produce a satisfactory look so no longer a option.

If you are interested in other Doctor Who items search "swinkswho?"

Simply order 2 off of your preferred colour mounts as well as the preferred whomobile pinball mod allowing you to mount 2 whomobiles in your game. There are 3 different whomobiles to select from for the pinball mod:

- no windscreen (more of a stars wars hover vehicle look)

- with windscreen (like the original personal owned vehicle owned by Jon Pertwee)

- enclosed cockpit (like the tv series)

- enclosed cockpit with windows cut out (like the tv series)

Search "swinkswho?" for the other Doctor Who options and note there are some collector models as well which have a base and not meant for installation into a pinball.

The Whomobile is available as the following models at various scales for the collector as well:

- Whomobile - without the screen (1:40 scale)

- Whomobile - original Alien Version  (1:40 scale)

- Whomobile - TV Series Version enclosed cockpit for the collector (1:40 scale)

- Whomobile - TV Series Collector version Keyring (1:64 Scale )
