Product Description
The SAAB "Robot 05" or Rb 05 guided missile, developed in the 1960s and serving from 1972 to 2005, carried by the SAAB AJ-37 Viggen.

A Manual Command Line of Sight weapon, the Rb 05A was controlled manually by the launching aircraft's pilot, optically spotting the missile by flares on the missile's tail. A TV Guided version, the Rb 05B, was proposed in the early 1970s, but passed over in service for the Swedish Air Force favor of the American AGM-65 "Maverick," for reasons of cost.

Some sources indicate a variant of the Rb 05 fitted with a nuclear warhead was considered in the plans for the (ultimately abortive) Swedish nuclear weapons program.

Now available for your model needs, this weapon includes two different nosecones—the stanard Rb 05A, and the TV Guidance nose section for the unbuilt Rb 05B.
